When asked “Why drums? Why did you choose to play the drums?” Ryan McSweeney always responds with “It wasn’t my choice, it chose me. It’s more than just a part of my life. It is my life.” This thorough connection with my instrument makes the drums more than just a blank canvas for my creativity, but a blank canvas waiting to be colored with my life, my life in sound.

Ryan McSweeney is a drummer, educator and engineer primarily based New York, currently based in Boston MA. Ryan partnered and performed with a diverse list of artists/groups with names including The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Johan de Meij and more.
